Cable Festoon System

A cable festoon system is a type of material handling system commonly used in cranes. It consists of a series of rollers or pulleys installed along a support structure or track, through which electrical cables are run to power the crane. The cable festoon system is designed to support and guide the cables as they are moved, helping to prevent them from becoming tangled or damaged. The rollers in the system allow the cables to be easily and smoothly moved, which is particularly important for cranes that need to be able to move the cables as the hoist is moved along its track. The support structure for the cable festoon system is normally a metal “C” channel beam, supported by a series of brackets along side the crane arm. The system is typically designed to be easily accessible for maintenance, allowing the cables to be inspected, repaired, or replaced as needed. Overall, the cable festoon system is an important component of many cranes and other heavy machinery, helping to ensure that the cables used to power the equipment are protected and guided in a safe and efficient manner.
